The anti-narcotics public vigilance committee formation meeting of Ward 5, held today (18.09.2026) at the Pulingome Vyapara Bhavan Auditorium, was notable for its large public participation and active discussions.

Ward Member and former Grama Panchayat President, Smt. Jameela Kolayath, delivered the welcome address. The function was chaired by Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi President, Shri Jolly Kandavanam, and inaugurated by the Vice President of Cherupuzha Grama Panchayat, Shri Satheesan Karthikappally.

Officials from the Police, Excise, Local Self-Government, and Health departments attended the meeting. Block Panchayat Member Smt. Jomol offered felicitations. Excise Department representative Smt. Juna conducted an awareness session against drug abuse. The event also featured the committee formation, a open discussion, and reply speeches.
